Easy Tie Dyed Butterflies!

Easy Tie-Dye Butterflies

I made these last spring with my grandchildren, Alex & Avery...it's such an easy & fun project and the Butterflies turned out so cute! We will definitely make them again this year!

You’ll Need:

Coffee filters
Food Coloring
Medicine dropper or small paintbrush
A muffin tin or small cups to hold the water and color

Mix food coloring with water.
Be sure the color remains strong!
Have your child drop the colored water
Onto the filter and watch it spread.
(kids love this part!)

After your tie-dyed coffee filters dry:

You’ll Need:

1 dry tie dyed filter
Clothes Pin
Pipe Cleaner
Magnet or magnetic tape
Hot glue gun

Scrunch the filter in the middle, to form the wings.  Secure with a pipe cleaner.  Glue to the clothespin. Attach the magnetic tape or magnet!
